What’s the tribe vibe?

-

Designed with a young crowd in mind, step on board Royal Caribbean’s Navigator Of The Seas ship. Think cruises aren’t for you? So did we. But that was before we took a tour around some of the most beautiful islands we’ve ever seen on board a ship that has its own theme park. But more on that later.

As well as the aforementioned attractions, Navigator Of The Seas also houses eight restaurants (the lobster rolls at Hooked

Seafood were our personal favourite). As for drinks, there are seven bars where you can “treat yourself” to cocktails galore – the ship’s all-inclusive, so if you want a pina colada in one of the many hot tubs at 11am, then you do you.

Every single day and night, there’s a packed itinerary of cool stuff to choose from: comedy and live music shows (not the cheesy kind), films at an outdoor cinema, ice skating, an escape room… With so much to do it’s easy to miss the very top deck, which is where the themepark magic happens. Equipped with two water slides (including the world’s longest at sea), there’s also a surf-simulating wave pool, 200ft rock wall, basketball court and the greatest mini golf course we’ve played. Best of all, though, we met some awesome fellow passengers who we’ve kept in touch with after the ship came back to harbour.

Why go in winter?

December onwards is the perfect time to go. You dodge the hurricane season (June-November), there’s little rain and low humidity, and temperatures hover at a vitamin-D-boosting 25˚C.

Don’t leave without…

Enjoying the “Perfect Day At CocoCay” experience. You’ll be dropped off on a private island owned by Royal Caribbean, where you have the option to go wild and explore the waterpark, float in a giant air balloon 450 feet above the sand, or do what we did and spend your time lounging on the stunning white beaches and by the Oasis Lagoon. ◆
