Try before you train... water bottles
Team Cosmo finds out which designs blow the competition out of the, er, water
Corkcicle Hybrid Canteen, £40*
The glass in this design means it’s a little hefty, but hypoallergenic, and I love the screw-off metal cup – it’s handy for sharing drinks in the park, and it keeps your water cooler for longer. Plus, the bottle’s wide mouth makes it easy to add in ice or lemon wedges. Sophie, Bookings Editor
LARQ Bottle Movement, £78
This ultra-lightweight bottle features an amazing piece of technology – it cleans itself every two hours (a bottle that helps with the washing up? What more could you want?) using a UV-C LED light that neutralises germs. It felt like I was drinking some of the purest water in the world. Jodie, Picture Editor
Bkr Spiked Elle, £32
I felt like a sporty Elle Woods with this bubblegum-pink bottle. I’m big on sustainability, so the glass bottle and phthalate-free spiked silicone sleeve ticked that box. While it fitted nicely in my hand and passed the no-leakage test, its spikes made it harder to carry on longer walks. Nathalie, Fashion Intern
Lululemon Stay Hot Keep Cold Bottle, from £24
With its slim neck, this bottle is easy to carry. More suited to a chilled-out yoga class than HIIT due to its screwtop lid, the only downside is that the lip is quite wide, and I did pour water over myself once or twice. Lottie, Entertainment & Special Projects Director
Hydro Flask, £31.95
A hallmark of the Gen-Z cool girl, the Hydro is elegant and lightweight. I love that you can switch in a sports cap to make sipping mid-workout easier (just be careful when closing it, or you’ll end up with a wet gym bag), and the default vacuum lid keeps things chilled for longer. Kate, Beauty Writer
Contigo Ashland Chill, £28.99†
If you’re looking for a bottle to take on your outdoor adventures, this is just the ticket. Insulated stainless steel keeps your water chilled, while the retractable spout comes with a lock to prevent spillage. It’s even got a carabiner clip to hook on to the outside of your backpack. Tash, Fashion Editor
Chilly’s Pastel Purple Bottle, £20
With its double-walled vacuum insulation, this sleek and durable bottle kept my water icy cold all day. The colour options are endless, and if you want to customise your bottle, you can have it engraved or choose a lid in a contrasting shade. Tyra, Junior Video Editor/Producer
Stay Sixty Emerald, £35
Um, can you call a water bottle sexy? Aside from its polished design, it’s BPA-free, and its triple-layer insulation means your water stays chilled, like, forever. The patented twist cap helps you stay hydrated for longer, as we absorb more water when sipping. Zoe, Entertainment Editor
