GOSSIP GIRL

Where are they now? With a reboot about to land (14 years after the first episode aired), we look at what the OG cast have been up to…

-

CHACE CRAWFORD Remind me?

Nate Archibald, the privileged serial dater who gave off some serious lost-puppy vibes. What’s he done since? After picking up a few roles here and there (including a one-off in Glee), Chace struck gold playing Kevin, AKA The Deep, in Amazon Prime’s ubersuccessful superhero show The Boys. Season 3 is shooting this year.

PENN BADGLEY

Remind me? Outsider Dan Humphrey, who – spoiler alert – was eventually unmasked as Gossip Girl. What’s he done since? 2018 saw Penn play serial killer Joe Goldberg in Netflix’s You. Series 3 is out this year. Prior to that came small roles in NBC miniseries The Slap

and film The Paper Store,

which is on Amazon Prime.

TAYLOR MOMSEN Remind me?

Jenny Humphrey, Dan’s little sister, who idolised Blair and Serena.

What’s she done since?

Taylor swapped acting for rock music, and is now the lead singer of the band The Pretty Reckless. Their latest album, Death By Rock And Roll, came out in February.

BLAKE LIVELY Remind me?

It-girl Serena van der Woodsen, whose arrival at Grand Central Station kicked off the Gossip Girl story. Ex-oh-ex-oh.

What’s she done since?

Blake’s career has been all about Hollywood. She starred in The Shallows, A Simple Favor and 2020’s The Rhythm Section, not to mention 2011’s Green Lantern, where she met her now-husband Ryan Reynolds.

LEIGHTON MEESTER Remind me?

Headband-wearing Blair Waldorf, the queen bee of Constance Billard School for Girls.

What’s she done since?

Leighton worked on Fox’s comedy Making History and plays the lead in ABC sitcom Single Parents. Fun fact: she married Seth (Adam Brody) from The OC, which has to be the TV crossover of the century.

ED WESTWICK Remind me?

Anti-hero Chuck Bass, whose onagain-off-again relationship with Blair frustrated us all.

What’s he done since?

He played the lead in 2016’s Wicked City, and had a role in the TV adaptation of crime comedy film Snatch. More recently, he’s played Vincent in BBC’s White Gold.
