Salvage hunting is addictive, but it’s wise not to go overboard on ‘high-character’ vintage and reclaimed elements in the kitchen, as it’s a room we spend a lot of time in. Balance is key. Here, classic cabinetry in cool grey tones stops the reclaimed wagon board doors and tractor seat bar stools from overpowering. ‘Subtler industrial details like cast-iron hinges and shelf brackets were added to bring the look together,’ explains Karan Main, Director, The Main Company.
