From an epic trek up Cardunneth Pike to a stroll around Castle Carrock reservoir, you really are spoilt for choice. Major cycle routes such as the C2C and Reivers Route are also on your doorstep.
soak up some history... Hadrian’s Wall is a half-hour drive and the whole area is full of Roman sites, forts and museums to explore. Enjoy walking one of the circular or linear do-in-a-day routes around the 84-mile long Hadrian’s Wall Path National Trail – pick up a ‘passport’ and have it stamped along the way to mark your progress.
