It’s happy news that, after more than two decades of dif­fi­culty, Pitch­ford Hall in Shrop­shire is back in fam­ily hands once more. Rowena Colthurst, whose par­ents sold the prop­erty in 1992, after of­fer­ing it with 76 acres as a gift to the na­tion, has bought this mag­nif­i­cent tim­ber-framed house with her hus­band, James Na­son. They are re­unit­ing the house with its for­mer es­tate, which they al­ready own. In their hands, Pitch­ford Hall will again be­come a fam­ily home and will also be avail­able for tours and wed­dings
