Those gorgeous Georgians
O celebrate its 80th birthday, the Georgian Group has announced a number of activities designed to rekindle interest in the study, appreciation and understanding of Georgian architecture.
The organisation, which campaigns for the preservation of historic buildings and landscapes from the 18th and 19th centuries, has announced a drawing prize in conjunction with the Traditional Architecture Group.
The Architectural Measured Drawing Prize will be presented to the creator of the best drawing of an exterior or interior of an existing Georgian building. The prize is open to anyone under the age of 40, with entries closing on June 30.
‘Until relatively recently, measured drawing formed part of every architect’s training, but, today, it is less commonly taught,’ comments judge
