Opera June 24–25 Byre Opera: The Cunning Little Vixen, The Maltings, Berwick-upon-tweed, Northumber­land. A cast from the University of St Andrews will be accompanie­d by a chamber orchestra of leading Scottish musicians for this telling of a forester’s attempt to tame a young fox. History June 24–25 Hever’s Home Front, Hever Castle & Gardens, Edenbridge, Kent. To mark Armed Forces Day, Hever is stepping back in time to the 1940s with a replica air-raid shelter, a swing dance, a life-sized model Hurricane and Home Guard drills.
