Welcome to the new weekly interiors pages we have introduced to
For 120 years, has been illustrating the interiors of Britain’s greatest country houses, both new and old. Our earliest photographers, such as Charles Latham and Alfred Henson, pioneered the painstaking art of recording interiors using natural light long before other magazines. This technique continues to underpin our outstanding and distinctive tradition of architectural photography.
Three years ago, we decided to supplement our regular architectural coverage with monthly features that focus more on contemporary interior design and decoration. This new departure was well received; our readers lead busy lives, with the result that is often one of the few magazines they buy that includes this type of coverage.
Following this success and from this week, extensive interiors coverage will now feature in every issue of It will focus on the work of leading designers, as well as news and inspirational ideas from our highly creative and ever-shifting interiors scene. In the New Year, we will be publishing a series of themed sections that will offer depth and breadth on everything from kitchens, bathrooms and conservatories to fabric, wallpaper and flooring.
This content will complement the strength of the existing magazine, with its extensive coverage of the countryside, architecture, gardens and the Arts. We hope the additional pages will reaffirm claim to report on all that is best about British life.
