Feeling good
From rich velvet to luxuriously soft twist, Brintons offers carpet collections in a range of textures to suit every home
BRINTONS has been producing highquality woven Axminster and Wilton carpet in Kidderminster since 1783 and it has been a Royal Warrant holder since 1958. Today, it continues to use its expertise to produce wool-rich carpet in a glorious variety of patterns, colours and textures.
To achieve the beautiful, durable carpets for which it is renowned, Brintons controls every stage of its production and uses premiumquality wool—in fact, the company is British wool’s single biggest user. Each carpet is made using its famous Brintons Blend, which combines 80% best-quality wool with 20% nylon to guarantee softness with strength.
Brintons manufactures two constructions of woven carpets: Wilton, which produces beautifully textured plains, and Axminster, which creates more intricate patterns. ‘The texture of wool underfoot coupled with a warm colour or welcoming pattern makes a great way to build a comfortable and inviting décor scheme,’ says Emma Cassidy, head of creative design.
A variety of beautiful yarns and specialist weaving techniques are used to create a choice of finishes, including Bell Twist, which offers luxury that lasts. This carpet yarn has an extra twist added to the spinning process to create a defined and textured surface that is hard-wearing and therefore durable enough for busy hallways, but doesn’t compromise on softness or warmth.
You might prefer a velvet carpet, created by denser weaves of yarn to produce a luxurious finish. Brintons offers three velvet qualities: Finepoint, which is a more affordable option without compromising on durability and comfort; True Velvet, with its higher pile height and softer texture; and Majestic, the most luxurious choice, which is both strong and sumptuous.
