Alice Fox Pitt

A former event rider and amateur jockey-turned-itv Racing correspondent, Alice will be supporting husband and fellow eventer William in the lead-up to the Tokyo Olympics via the Fox-pitt Equestrian Youtube channel. The only woman to have completed both Badminton Horse Trials and Aintree Foxhunters’, she and William live in Dorset with four children and a menagerie of animals.

As do all working mothers, I run my entire life through my phone. Grapevine network has been the best discovery (kindred spirits buying, selling, hiring, letting, meeting and connecting). Things that I would never normally discover pop up, there is such variety, but always real quality. The best thing it led to was taking my oldest son on an amazing short trip trout fishing in Slovenia through a Roxtons post. The Spencer boots are the best-kept secret in the Ariat range. I wore them to the Grand National meeting in 2019. On the way, a life moment was going to Southport with [fellow presenter and former jockey] Brough Scott to see the garage behind which Red Rum was trained to win his three Grand Nationals. Brough is such a legend and always has a great story. I find getting dressed up for the races every weekend particularly stressful. I am not a very groomed person. The things that have helped me enormously over the years are a decent pair of boots, a good base (I like Holland Cooper) and a nice hat. Cozmo Jenks makes all my hats; she is a genius. I now have a multi-coloured collection of trilbies to grab. They make any outfit great and the colours she finds are so special.
