WORKSPACES

-

IF YOU WORK FROM HOME, it could make sense to upgrade to a separate room given over to this purpose, especially if you have a lot of equipment. If space doesn’t allow for that, consider turning part of a spare room into a home office. The ideal scenario is to organise your workspace so it can be tidied away easily or hidden from view when not in use. This could be as simple as using a folding screen to cordon off the area. Alternatively, try a cupboard home office that can conceal everything behind closed doors or ample storage to allow you to clear the desk and store things elsewhere (above). Home offices can work in unlikely places – beneath stairs (top left), in a hallway, alcove or bedroom (top right) if you don’t have the luxury of a dedicated room away from disruption. Remember to plan it well, keep on top of the clutter and have everything labelled as clearly as possible.
