Easy to create, this stylish design will provide a focal point for garden gatherings on summer nights

1 With a two-metre length of garden wire of 3mm or 5mm thickness (depending on how many jars you’d like to hang), make a circle 30cm in diameter. Twist the ends together with pliers. 2 Make a number of simple hooks from the same wire, using pliers to bend, and attach to the circle, varying the drop lengths. To extend the length even more, attach wire triangles to the circle and attach the hanging hooks to these (see image). 3 To make the hanging frame, cut three lengths of wire, each measuring 30cm. Loop one end of each around the wire circle. Place them equidistant from each other and secure the joins. 4 Twist the opposite ends of the wires together. Attach a hanging ‘S’ or meat hook. 5 Wrap florist’s or fine garden wire just below the lip of all the jam jars and twist the ends together. 6 Make jar handles by looping a length of wire through the wire running around the neck from one side to the other. Twist to secure. 7 Add tea lights to the jars. Visit beggarsvelvet.london and @rosbadger.beggarsvelvet on Instagram*
