WIN! A walking break in the Welsh Valleys

-

From rolling uplands to coastal sand dunes; from tumbling river gorges to wild moorland: the Valleys of South Wales are a landscape of immense variety. And this September, they’re yours to discover!

We’ve teamed up with the Valleys to offer one reader and a friend a walking break during the Wales Valleys Walking Festival (2nd to 17th September 2017). The festival celebrates and explores the whole Valleys area from historic Bridgend to the Blaenavon UNESCO World Heritage Site. The prize includes:

uTwo nights’ accommodation at the 4-star rated Visit Wales Oakfield B&B in Blaenavon: www.oakfieldbnb.com

uDinner for two at the exquisite Lion Hotel in Blaenavon: www. thelionhotelblaenavon.co.uk

uLunch for two in the café at the Blaenavon World Heritage Centre: www.visitblaenavon. co.uk

While you’re there you can choose from dozens of walking options as part of the festival, from easy strolls and special interest walks to challenging full-day hikes. For instance, there’s the Keepers Tales Walk on 5th September. It explores the legends of the area as well as its industrial heritage, and visits the gorgeous Keeper’s Pond – built in the early 19th century to provide water for Garnddyrys Forge, and these days a tranquil spot with massive views.
