On Stage 20 – the last day – you meander through this gorgeous, quiet valley on your way back to Buxton. The ruins of Errwood Hall are well worth a detour: home of a Manchester industrial dynasty which died out and had its ancestral home unceremoniously demolished to provide stone for the Goyt Valley reservoirs.
