Oozing rugged ‘lumbersexual’ vibes, the Abisko Cool Shirt is a stylish summer garment that wouldn’t look out of place at the bar of a trendy country gastropub. But don’t let appearances fool you – its materials and tailoring are more than cut out for the demands of serious outdoor adventures. However its whopping £90 price tag will leave your wallet considerably lighter. Made from lyocell, it feels soft like cotton, yet is lighter and more durable, but most importantly it will also wick away moisture and dry out fast. The result is a shirt that feels cool in both senses of the word. The relaxed cut feels loose and airy, gusseted under the armpits to give your arms unhindered movement. It’s here you’ll also find two little holes for extra ventilation. The Abisko Cool Shirt features two buttoned breast pockets as well, while rolled up sleeves can be fastened out of the way. It’s the perfect shirt for lazy (and not so lazy) summer afternoons, whether on the hill or around the barbecue, yet I can’t help feeling its price still far exceeds its purpose. It’s a nice shirt, but I’m not convinced it’s £90 nice. PT
