Sanctuary Shirt

-

Price: £72 Target price: £72

The Sanctuary Shirt is a little bit on the pricey side, but there’s no doubt that this is a tough shirt. It’s held up well against anything thrown at it so far. It has a loose fit, slightly large to size, but not unflattering – and is very welcome in hot weather. A clever ‘seersucker’ construction has been used in the fabric to help air-flow, which really does wonders to help keep you nice and cool on hotter days. The materials are fast drying so you’ll feel confident wearing it in warmer climates, or on a hotter summer day. Rohan are proud to combine style with technology – and when it comes to the Sanctuary Shirt, they’re talking sun and insects. It has a 40+ UPF rating and has been treated with an Insect Shield repellent. It may be early in the season for a proper ‘midge test’ in the Scottish Highlands, yet some insects are already out in force and helped with putting the Sanctuary Shirt’s credentials to the test. How well it would stand up against the Scottish midge is yet to be determined, but combined with good material coverage, the treatment seemed to do its job and I’ve come away bite-free. HJ
