Oriel Caffi Croesor at Cnicht, Snowdonia*

-

The ‘Cnicht’ part of the café’s name was recently added to highlight its great location below one of Snowdonia’s most picturesque summits, the 2260ft peak known fondly as the Welsh Matterhorn. The hamlet of Croesor is at the end of a long, narrow lane, and is the usual starting point for walkers attempting the pyramidal peak of Cnicht and the neighbouring Moelwyns. The stone café is currently run by a local artist, so have a look at the gallery while you tuck into chocolate sparkle or pina colada cake.
