WALK HERE
For a circular 8 ½ -mile walk, descend on the coast from the National Trust car park at Llansallos, heading west past Lantic Bay to Polruan, looping back via Pont Pill & Churchtown. Or turn to Walk 1 in this issue for a 12-mile linear route following the South West Coast Path from Looe to Fowey (Polruan).
GETTING THERE
Looe is 15 minute’s drive from the A38, via the B3251 and A387, while Llansallos lies 15 minutes further on. A regular train service links Liskeard to Looe ( www.gwr. com), which is connected to Polruan by the weekday 481 bus service, stopping at Llansallos ( www.travelcornwall.uk.com).
WHERE TO STAY
Treat yourself to a luxury stay at Tredudwell Manor, an 18th-century manor house set in the Cornish countryside, with distant views of the sea. WHERE TO EAT
There’s an ample choice of eateries in Looe and Fowey and you can find refreshment en-route at Talland and Polperro. Make room for ice cream at the Talland Bay Beach Café or tuck into an early lunch by the quayside at The Blue Peter Inn in Polperro ( thebluepeterinn.yolasite.com).
