South West Out­door Fes­ti­val

The Mendips are the back­drop for the South West Out­door Fes­ti­val, a cel­e­bra­tion of walk­ing, ad­ven­ture and al fresco fun tak­ing place this month.

Based above Ched­dar Gorge, the Na­tional Trust event will fea­ture plenty of walks, as well as the chance to try out cav­ing, trail run­ning, kayak­ing and bushcraft.

“Last year’s pop-up event on Ex­moor was in­cred­i­bly suc­cess­ful and this year’s event fea­tures a great line up of speak­ers in­clud­ing Sean Con­way, the man who ran, rode and swam the length of Bri­tain, wild­cam­per Phoebe Smith and ad­ven­ture au­thor Anna McNuff,” ex­plains event or­gan­iser Pat Kin­sella.

The fes­ti­val run Septem­ber 8th to 10th. Tick­ets start at £10 for an adult day pass. More de­tails at­tion­al­
