The Roman Cavalry

The Roman army will once again be heard on Hadrian’s Wall as English Heritage bring to life the sound of 2000 hooves in its Cavalry 360 installation at Chesters Roman Fort.

“The exhibition will place you in the midst of a busy garrison, give you a sense of being a Roman Cavalryman mid-charge or turn you into an aggressor awaiting their fate,” says Kevin Booth from English Heritage. The exhibition lasts until November 5th. It’d make a perfect stop-off for anyone tackling

the whole 84-mile Hadrian’s Wall National Trail from Bowness-on-Solway to Wallsend.
