The Dunfallandy Stone near Fonab, (grid reference NN946564), reached by means of a short walk along National Cycle Route 7. The ancient monument is one of Scotland’s finest Pictish cross slabs, with elaborate designs carved into the red sandstone. One side bears a cross and panels featuring animals both real and imaginary.
