‘SO PLEASED I FOUND IT’

Susan Bowey, 65, Taunton I’ve been caring for my husband for 18 years, since he had a stroke. As he was quite badly affected and he lost confidence, he didn’t like it if I wasn’t close by. Going out has been tricky. When I saw this challenge at the end of last year, I thought it would be good for me. I knew I could walk, as I always used to, but getting out of the house was an issue. I’ve been so fortunate in that Mr B has really engaged well with it, and often asks when I’m going out for my walk, and how far I’ve walked today. It has worked so well for us. I am so pleased I found this challenge. Thank you Country Walking for the challenge, and thank you all for the great posts and photos in the Facebook group. There is so much inspiration. By the way, this is my first selfie. It may also be my last!
