‘WE DID IT!’

-

I used to walk to the car before this challenge and drove everywhere – even my local shop. Now I walk everywhere and drive to other areas to walk. I started this to help with weight loss it has become a way of life now. I’m fitter and healthier and I get as much enjoyment on a walking holiday in this country as I do on long-haul beach holidays. This year I’m doing Hadrian’s Wall – if someone had told me two years ago I would walk across the UK I would have thought they were mad! I could go on – this challenge has totally changed me and my outlook! Susan Goldsmith, walked 500-miles in 6 months in 2016 I’m amazed at how easy it is to walk each day. Ann Nobes, walked 500 miles May-December 2017 I love the chat and the support in the group – I feel very happy to share and to give support where I can. This is the best thing I’ve done! Jo Oliver, walked 500 miles in 7 months in 2017 Just start small, walking a mile or two around your local area and see where it leads you. It spurred me to go to a walking festival in Ireland where I was born but no longer live. Brian Quigley, walked 500 miles in 5 months in 2017 I was surprised how quickly my fitness improved – now can’t wait to get outside and walk even in the rain and snow! And the support towards the people who are not seasoned walkers is fantastic. Encouraging no matter what distance or where you have walked. Wendy Hodgson walked 500 miles in 8 months last year I feel healthier, fitter and much less stressed. Not a single panic attack since I started the challenge. I never imagined I would ever have the courage to explore the amazing countryside solo! Kathryn Tarr, walked 500 miles in 3 months in 2017
