MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

If you’ve got some battered but intact old kit gathering dust somewhere, did you know you can donate it to a good cause?

Gift Your Gear was set up by Sarah Howcroft, co-founder of outdoor clothing brand Rohan, and supports groups and charities that work in the outdoors. When you donate your old kit at a Rohan store (from any brand, not just Rohan), they’ll pass it on to their network of partner groups, who are involved with everything from outdoor experiences for disabled children to conservation and Mountain Rescue.

Supporter and CW reader Benjamin Metcalfe told us: “I know for a fact I benefitted from someone's kindness as a kid because I never had my own kit but people donated stuff to my school. It made a huge difference to my life. So I actually get quite excited at the prospect of giving someone else the ability to unlock the outdoors with some good gear; hopefully others will too.”
