MALHAM COVE & GORDALE SCAR, Route 17, May 2018 I’m a pretty experienced walker, and am gradually showing my new-towalking, but enthusiastic girlfriend Lucy all my favourite places. With a long weekend arranged but no destination, and having read your excellent Malham feature, we decided to visit the area together – her first time, my fourth! We had gorgeous weather all weekend, and although she didn’t fancy the climb up Gordale Scar, I’m very proud of her for making it to the top of Ingleborough with me the following day. The stripes of tan across her legs from her cropped leggings have started to fade now, but it’s still a source of much amusement! Andy Smith, Northampton

STRETTON SKYLINE,

Route 27, June 18 I had the absolute pleasure of

walking the Stretton skyline on the longest day of the year this year. I followed your ‘Big Day’ route and stopped in the lovely town of Church Stretton for lunch! It took me 8 hours and 12 minutes to complete the walk, but I loved every single minute of it. Kev Griffiths, Ludlow

HARESHAW LINN, Route 24, July 2011 This is my friend Corinne and I at Hareshaw Linn waterfall, Northumberland, with a CW route from 2011. I’ve been a subscriber now for a

few years and file all the walks away and keep a list which we take great pleasure in ticking off! I look forward to many more! Julie Atkins, Email LOCH DRUIDIBEG, OUTER HEBRIDES, Route 25, April 2015 Stef and I attempted Loch Druidibeg on South Uist recently. What’s great about this walk, other than the awesome scenery, is that you no longer have to stand with your back to the gate and strike out across the moorland using an intermittent track – the first stage has been incorporated into the well waymarked Hebridean Way. Richard & Stefanie Foster, Email MEDWAY MEGALITHS, Route 4, June 2018 My husband Chris and I enjoyed a wonderful walk along parts of the ancient North Downs Way and Pilgrims Way, on a beautiful clear, warm, sunny day. We found all the megaliths as mentioned in your article, but a tea break took our breath away. The edge of the field was a swathe of wild flowers dancing in the breeze and sun. A sit-and-ponder-in-silence moment! Joanna Pierce, Email
