Almost 3000 entries have been whittled down to just 15 and we want you to help decide who wins the final category – the Readers’ Choice.

BACK IN SEPTEMBER Country Walking and sister title Practical Photography, in association with FUJIFILM, launched a massive new annual competition designed to celebrate the breathtaking beauty of the British Isles. The Outdoor Photo of the Year 2018 offered three diverse categories, a total of £3516 of amazing FUJIFILM cameras and lenses to be won, and the chance to have your work showcased in two of the UK’s biggest specialist magazines.

The competition has now closed and the panel of judges – experts from both magazines plus professional landscape photographer Chris Upton – have assessed almost 3000 images to arrive at a shortlist of just five per category. These images will now be printed and framed, ready to be hung on the photographers’ walls, before the judges select the category winners.

However, there’s still the matter of a special Readers’ Choice winner to be determined, and this is where you come in. From now until 11 March 2019 we’ll be showcasing all 15 shortlisted images at the website below and we’d like you to choose your favourite and help crown the very first Outdoor Photo of the Year – Readers’ Choice champion.
