walk here
Turn to Walk 2 in this issue for a route around Ham Wall RSPB. This site is flat and very accessible so it’s great for families with children. It’s good to visit at any time of the year but it’s best known for its starling murmurations in winter, bitterns booming from early spring and migrants arriving and departing through the year.
GettinG here
It’s easiest to get here by car (parking free for RSPB members).
The FirstBus Service 375/376 links Glastonbury, Street and Wells with Bristol, Yeovil and Bridgwater. From Glastonbury the local service no.662 passes through Mear, just over a mile away.
