Moray
Built in 1814 as part of Telford’s extensive plans to better connect the north of Scotland to the rest of the UK, this is a fine example of his use of iron, being an attractive single span bridge with castellated towers at either end. It’s no longer used for traffic, so is now very pleasant to explore on foot. Anyone walking the Speyside Way should take the short detour at Craigellachie to see this lovely piece of architecture.
