EVADICT
Mixed Ultra Trail Running Bag 15L
RRP: £50 Target price: £50 Weight: 472g
Walkers might feel they have no place buying something called a running pack, but these can be brilliantly useful for walking, especially if you have back problems and don’t get on with traditional rucksacks. Here’s a great example from the Decathlon stable. 472g might sound heavy in this context, but that’s only because it comes with a 2L water bladder – and if you don’t want to use that, it’s got three generous bottle pockets anyway. You get three good-sized storage compartments, plus an array of pockets on the harness for phone, GPS, routecard and compass. The mesh back panel isn’t very sophisticated, but if the reservoir is in place, it has a pleasant cooling and squishy feeling which offsets that. All in all, a great buy. NB: Forget the fact it says ‘Kalenji’ – Decathlon is rebranding its running line as Evadict, which is how you’ll find it on the website. decathlon.co.uk VERDICT:
