What gives you the most pleasure in the running of it, in ordinary times? Getting to know my guests and enjoying their company.

What do you most hope for, right now, and why?

A speedy return to something like normal so I can start receiving guests again.

Why do you love where you live? I live in a beautiful historic little town surrounded by the Black Mountains – I love the combination of intimacy with wildness. I love having the mountains, the River Usk and several good pubs on my doorstep.
