Deuter Futura Series

It sounds strange to say it, but your rucksack is generally going to be working harder in the summer than it is in winter. In winter, you’re more likely to be wearing all your extra layers than carrying them. But in summer, with a bit of good fortune, the mid-layer fleece and hard-shell waterproof will spend most of their time inside the pack than out. So you need decent capacity to look after them. But you also need stability and ventilation, to ensure the load isn’t causing you to overheat. And that’s where the Futura range is best-in-class brilliant…

Resilience

All packs in the Futura range are made with abrasionresistant 210D PA Recycled and PES 600 fabric, giving each pack an extraordinary strength-to-weight ratio.

A harness that cares

The Pull Forward adjustment lets you compress the pack into the ideal position for your torso, while the S-shaped Active-Fit shoulder straps follow the contours of your shoulders and neck and stay secure so there’s no chafing. Light, perforated foam keeps the harness beautifully ventilated.

Smart Storage

From spacious lid pockets to easy access basement compartments, the Futura range makes it easy to store and access all your kit. The smaller-capacity packs use a zip for the main compartment, while the bigger packs have a clever, compact lid.

The complete range

There’s a Futura for all load sizes ranging from 22L to 50L, and in both unisex and women’s-specific variants. For even higher-spec comfort and stability there’s the Futura Pro range, in 36L to 50L options. And since spring 2020, all packs in the Deuter range have used PFC-free materials.

Perfect load transfer

However full the pack is or isn’t, the load will stay stable throughout your day. The Futura packs have a flexible steel spring frame which keeps the pack secure and extends into the hip belt to keep the load evenly distributed.

Ventilation

The Futura packs use Deuter’s superb Aircomfort Sensic back system, which holds the load away from your back, allowing air to circulate freely. Light, flexible and stable: it’s the perfect recipe for cool, hassle-free adventures.
