MINI TEN TORS, Route 1, May 2018
We tried this route when on holiday in South Devon. The weather was fantastic, if not a little warm for our four-legged companions. This is us on Hound Tor, with only one more tor to climb for ice creams all-round!

AINTHORPE RIGG,
Route 20, January 2020
My husband and I loved our August day on this walk. It’s great for those who need public transport; the train ride from Middlesbrough is so picturesque it’s an adventure all of its own. Little Fry Up Valley was stunning. Add in the duck bridge, medieval standing stone, 14th century ruins and a cheeky pint at the Fox and Hounds pub, and you have a perfect day. Joelle Craddy, Hartlepool
HUNTER’S INN & TRENTISHOE, Route 2,
September 2021 My daughter Georgie and I were looking for a walk on the South West Coast Path. The views were stunning, the heather beautiful, the climb up to Peter’s Rock a little challenging and we somehow ended up doing an extra mile. But it didn’t matter. It was a lovely mix of coast path, woodland and Downs, with a pub at the end! Suzy Watson, Norfolk
DOW CRAG & THE OLD MAN,
Route 15, December 2020
This route was fabulous and we were so glad to have approached from Dow Crag.
Lots of other walkers who had metres km 400 800 1200 0 0 come straight up from Coniston were wishing they had taken the circular route. We were blessed with fantastic views. Ann & Paul Willing, Newton Abbot
THORNHAM TO OLD HUNSTANTON, Route 15,
Spring 2019
My husband and I took both our mums (and our dog Jazz) on this walk and had a brilliant day. We had picked the route out as one to do, but then along came Covid. So we were excited to finally walk it as a family. There were lovely views of the sea, sand, forest and salt marshes. The pint at the end, and the fish & chips that followed, felt deserved and we made our way home very happy walkers indeed. Lydia & Keith O’Gorman, by email
CWM GWAUN, Route 20,
November 2018
We always take a supply of Country Walking routes on holiday. This year we went to Pembrokeshire and headed to the Gwaun Valley. We encountered ancient woodland, a noisy buzzard chick, and spectacular views. It was well worth the precipitous drive. Angela & Eric Roberts, York
