AVON AQUEDUCT WEST LOTHIAN

Another Hugh Baird build with consultation from Telford, this is Scotland’s longest and highest aqueduct. The magnificent stone masonry rises to 26m, with the 250m cast-iron trough bearing the Union Canal over the River Avon.
