22 January On the Jurassic Coast, Countryfile meets a self-taught paleontologist, who has opened a small museum at Kimmeridge Bay to showcase his extraordinary collection of fossils. The team also meet a Lyme Regis-based artist who sketches in fossilised squid ink.
29 January The show features climber Shauna Coxsey, who trains 40 hours a week, and a photographer paying homage to the Abraham brothers, two turn-of-thecentury climber-photographers from the Lake District.
5 February Starling murmurations and migrant waders, birds eggs and artists painting with feathers, Countryfile looks at all things ornithological, from the wash in Lincolnshire to the Somerset Levels.
12 February A winter special. Ellie searches the Cairngorms for mountain hares, stoats and ptarmigan in their winter coats. In Cumbria, Matt meets the Herdwick sheep farmers on the fells. In Northumberland, John finds out how winter folklore has influenced our traditional songs; and Richard Taylor-Jones studies birds of prey.
