A BEAUTIFUL VIEW
Ribbons of red, tassels of green, Distant horizons calm and serene. Pastels on pallets, frozen on eye, Red berry trees lined with blue sky. Bushes with nests, silver-fish fields, Bark of old years, nature so real. Ivy with roses, lilac and whites, Yellows and pinks a colourful sight. Mountains of clouds, bridges of hills, Jigsaws of cattle scattered and still. Musical streams dancing in rhyme, Golden straw harvests sleeping with
time. Hints of all weather circling the moon Precious this land… Our life and our tomb.

Thank you for this. We don’t often get poems in the post so it was a lovely surprise to read this evocative verse.
