Picnics at the ready

This summer, the Woodland Trust is encouraging everyone to Invite a Tree to Tea and go down to the woods for a big, friendly, fundraising picnic

-

It’s a great feeling to have a favourite tree or area of woodland that you can escape to. If you’re lucky enough to have one, why not show it some love this summer by hosting a tree party for friends and family? Not only will it be a fun way to spend the day, but you could also raise vital funds to help protect woodland all over the country.

To help you do just that, the Woodland Trust is giving away free party boxes full of goodies and great fundraising ideas to get your party started. All you need to do is make a tree your guest of honour!

It’s a brilliant way to help the Woodland Trust stand up for trees, and there are so many fun activities you can organise, including cake sales and treasure hunts.

Last year was a hugely successful inaugural year for Invite a Tree to Tea, and this year the Woodland Trust wants even more people to get involved in 2017.

Don’t forget to share the best pictures from your event on social media, using the hashtag #TreeParty. Not only can you use it to check out other people’s events for inspiration, you just might encourage more people to hold their own, and the more people who can stand up for woods and trees, the better!
