WOODLAND WONDERS

VISIT THE WOODLAND TRUST AT BBC COUNTRYFILE LIVE TO FIND OUT HOW IT’S STANDING UP FOR TREES – YOU CAN EVEN TAKE ONE HOME FOR YOURSELF

-

S ince the 1930s, more than half of the UK’s ancient woodland has been destroyed – taking with it an alarming number of plant and animal species. The Woodland Trust is dedicated to protecting them and keeping the UK rich in native woods and trees for both people and wildlife to enjoy. That’s why it has pledged to plant a tree for every person in the UK over the next few years. While you’re at BBC Countryfile Live, visit the Woodland Trust at stands A45 and A47 (just in front of the Wildlife Zone) and you’ll be able to find out first-hand how it protects our trees for future generations. And you can get involved too – learn how to plant a tree, let your kids have a go at willow weaving, wooden deer making and bug hotel making, and find out how becoming a member supports the Trust.

“YOU’LL BE ABLE TO FIND OUT FIRST-HAND HOW IT’S PROTECTING OUR TREES FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS”

All visitors to the Woodland Trust stand will also be able to take away a free tree to plant at home*. There’s a variety of species available, all on a first-come, first-served basis – so make it your first port of call.
