HOW TO SEND YOUR CHRISTMAS GIFT BACK TO AMAZON

1. GO TO the Amazon Online Returns Centre. Select the ‘Return a gift’ option and sign in. If you don’t have an account you will need to set one up to continue.

2. Enter the gift’s order number and hit search. The order number is 17 digits long and can be found on the left side of your packing slip. If you don’t have the packing slip you can contact Amazon. They will ask for information to help locate the order.

3. Select the items you want to return. Enter the quantity of items you want to return (if applicable), and a reason from the drop-down menu. For items sold by third-party sellers, you’ll see “Submit return request”. Some Amazon sellers review return requests before authorising them.

4. Select how you want to return your item.

5. Select your return shipping options and how you’ll obtain your return label. Each return label is assigned to a specific return.

6. Put the return authorisation in your package and attach the label to the outside of it. 7. If your gift return is authorised, Amazon or the seller will process your refund as an Amazon Gift Card after your return is received.

8. The Gift Card will be added to the account you used from the Online Returns Centre.

9. Once the refund is processed, Amazon will send you a confirmation email.

10. If you’re the gift giver, your refund will be processed to the original payment method.
