POP music fans will be able to step back in time as some of the world’s best tribute acts take over Coventry Cathedral.

Replica LIVE! will be staged in the cathedral’s ruins on May 12 and will see tribute artists for Michael Jackson, Tom Jones and ABBA take to the stage.

Navi, seen by many as the number one tribute act to Michael Jackson, will be appearing as the King of Pop, while Abba Revival have picked up awards for their take on the Swedish sensations.

Andy Wood has, as Tom Jones, been entertaining audiences around the world for several years after making his name on the hit TV show Stars in Their Eyes in 1993.

The £19.50 ticket price includes unlimited free funfair rides in University Square and access to bars and street food. The event is being organised and run by Binley resident and Coventry University graduate Jason Fox. Fox, who is responsible for Coventry University’s Annual Summer Ball as well as working within the entertainment industry, says Replica LIVE! is his biggest public event yet. He said: “I am really excited to bring Replica LIVE! to Coventry Cathedral and there is already interest in taking the show to other venues around the UK. “But I am a Coventry kid and wanted to bring it to the city first – there’s no better venue than the Cathedral ruins and it’s great to see it now hosting so many different events as the city bids to be UK City of Culture. “Even though it’s taking place in the Cathedral ruins, the weather will not be an issue as a large marquee will be used to stage the event. So there will be nothing to stop everyone just having a brilliant night.” Ticket are available from today at www.fatsoma.com
