Fury: I could beat AJ with one hand tied
TYSON Fury believes a match-up with Anthony Joshua is the only fight people want to see and claimed he would win with “one arm tied behind my back”.
Joshua is not expected to be short of options following his sensational 11th-round stoppage of Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday night but Joshua himself called out Fury in the wake of his Wembley win.
And Fury hit back. “Styles do make fights but I am sure I can beat AJ with one arm tied behind my back,” Fury said in a Sky Sports interview. “I don’t even need a warm-up if he wants this.”
Fury has not fought since winning a unanimous decision over Klitschko in November 2015. He surrendered the various titles he won in that fight to focus on his mental health problems.
David Seymour says fight fans will see the best of him in the professional ring,
The 21-year-old bantamweight has made the switch from the amateurs after 69 bouts with Capitol and Bell Green ABCs.
The highlights of his amateur career include a Schoolboy semi-final and challenging for the English title. “I could have achieved more in the amateurs,” said Seymour, “but I got a lot of bad decisions. The pros will suit me.”
Seymour joins city fighters Troy James, Joe Sherriff and Michael Green in the growing MTK stable, set up by former world-title challenger Matthew Macklin.
