TRIED & TESTED

ABI JACKSON spoons down Nush’s new artisan almond milk yoghurt WHAT IS IT? NUSH has just introduced the first dairy and soya-free almond milk yoghurts to the UK market. They’re vegan friendly and made with Sicilian avola almonds, with each 125g pot containing 20% of pure almonds (many nut milks often contain as little as 1%), 20g of protein and about 150kcal. WHAT’S IT LIKE? THE best thing about these yoghurts is how full of almond milk they are, since many products contain way less nut milk than the packaging implies. They’re also high in protein (20g per serving is more than many protein bars contain) and come in a choice of lovely flavours: natural, caramel and hibiscus, blueberry and peach melba.

However, while tasty and creamy, the texture is quite thin and runny, so we liked them best mixed up with porridge oats for breakfast, and drizzled on fruit for a healthy snack or dessert.
