What are you wearing at the moment?

A casual pair of light denim Jamies from Topshop and a nude coloured oversized tee. I love feeling effortlessly dressed – whether effort has been put into it or not is a separate matter.

Who is your style icon?

MEGAN MARKLE. I’ve followed her since her days in American TV drama series Suits. She’s always classy and sassy.

What item do you spend most on?

WE all know what British weather is like, so I take time choosing the right coat or jacket.

What is your favourite piece of clothing in your wardrobe?

I HAVE a few favourite pieces in the costume wardrobe for the character I play, Katrina Pawar.

One that particularly strikes me is this beautiful white long ghagra style pleated skirt with light gold borders. I am told the piece is actually recycled from a sari.

What is the most expensive item in your wardrobe?

I’D say it is my Louis Vuitton bag. It’s a sleek city bag – understatedly classy.

What has been your biggest fashion disaster?

I WAS in India for a wedding, and missed the detail on my sari. Most of it was netted and I did not pack the right petticoat. It was an obvious mismatch.

Who is your favourite designer?

MY all-time favourite designer is Chanel. French, classy, simplistic and elegant – need I say more?

Which is your favourite high street store?

KAREN MILLEN. Their style is timeless. I often receive kind compliments on pieces I bought six years ago!
