Crack cocaine and heroine seized in raid on home
CLASS A drugs have been seized by police in a raid on a home in Nuneaton.
Crack cocaine and heroin worth more than £1,000 were found in a property on Wednesday afternoon.
Three people have arrested following the been raid on a home in Queens Road.
Officers from the Offender Management Unit (OMU) swooped on the property and seized crack cocaine with an estimated street value of £1,160 and heroin to the street value of £580.
A 28-year-old man was arrested within the property along with a 40-year-old woman. The woman was later released under investigation.
Following an interview and consultation with the CPS, a 28-year-old man from Birmingham, was charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine and remanded into custody.
The raid came as a result of an incident earlier in the day when OMU officers were on patrol in the Alexandra Street area of Nuneaton.
They observed what they sus- pected to be a drug deal taking place between a man and the occupants inside a vehicle.
A 41-year-old man arrested at the scene on suspicion of supplying class A drugs. He was later bailed.
A 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested for possession of class A drugs. The man was released with no further action and the female was cautioned for possession.
