FAST approachin­g its 30th birthday Penderels Trust is celebratin­g success and expansion along with a nomination for the Coventry Telegraph Business Awards.

The charity has entered the Not-For-Profit category and is hoping to impress judges with its range of services for older people and those with disabiliti­es.

Nomination­s for the 14 categories for CTBA 2017 are open until September 1, and entries are flooding in fast.

Penderels Trust has its head office in Coventry and 13 offices around the country which enables them to working different locations employ- ing 170 people – including 60 from Coventry and Warwickshi­re.

The Trust offers advice, guidance and practical support to clients to help them to live independen­tly in their own homes.

It has supported more than 12,000, including 700 from Coventry, towards independen­t living.

Recent initiative­s include supporting people with long term health conditions who receive a personal health budget from the NHS, and those who need help managing their personal money through Penderels’ appointees­hip service.

Penderels Trust Chief Executive Jackie Wakelin, said: “As Penderels Trust heads towards its 30th birthday, our ethos has remained the same – to enable people with disabiliti­es, older people and their carers to live independen­tly in their own homes and to participat­e in their community as equals.

“We are excited to be nominated in these awards – we started in Coventry and the city remains the hub of our organisati­on.”

The Coventry Telegraph Business Awards recognise and reward the hard work, dedication and innovative thinking it takes to succeed in today’s tough economic marketplac­e.

The are a mainstay of the region’s business calendar and hundreds will gather to celebrate at the gala ceremony at the Ricoh Arena on November 16.

Hosted by top TV comedian, Mark Dolan and Olympian, Gail Emms MBE, guests will be welcomed with a Champagne reception followed by a threecours­e meal – and find out who is triumphant in each award category.
