Tattoo tribute night for Mark

CHARITY CONVENTION ‘NESSY FOREVER’ ORGANISED BY FRIENDS OF CITY MAN WHO DIED AFTER ALLEGED ATTACK

A TRIBUTE night is to be staged for a Coventry man who died after suffering serious injuries at a petrol station.

Tattoo artist Mark Nesmith died in hospital after an alleged attack at the BP garage in Butts Road, Spon End, in the early hours of June 11. Three men have been charged with his murder.

Now friends of Mark are staging a charity tattoo convention in his memory.

‘Nessy Forever’ will feature tattooing with walk ups, live music featuring a number of DJs, raffled artwork and many more surprises.

It is being hosted by Hales Street Studios and Grizzly Art Collective and will be held at FarGo Village in Coventry on September 17.

In a joint statement, Mark’s friends said: “We would love to have you here with us to celebrate the life of Mark Nesmith.

“Together we can give Nes the send-off he deserves with loud music, great tattoos, laughs, smiles and the beautiful accomplish­ed feeling of being a part of something amazing.”

The event is £10 at the door and free to under 16s.

All of the money raised will be given to Mark’s parents.

The 35-year-old was taken to hospital in a critical condition and died the following day.

Uzair Hussain, 24, from Crampers Field, Radford, and 18-year-old Sebastian Vastaki-Barsby, from Barkers Butts Lane,in Coundon, are set to appear at Warwick Crown Court today.

They will be alongside Tyler Smith, 21, of Attoxhall Road, Wyken, who has also been charged with murder.

Several tributes have already taken place for Mark including heart-warming messages from Coventry band The Enemy and former work colleagues.

A fundraisin­g page was also set up by Linda Erison to give him a “wonderful send off” and raise money for his parents and girlfriend.
