ACCOUNTANCY and law firm Askews is backing the New Business of the Year accolade at this year’s Coventry Telegraph Business Awards to honour innovation.

The company already supports many charities and is proud to be part of our gala ceremony which will honour the best businesses in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Askews Finance Director Neil Askew said: “We chose to sponsor this particular award because we wanted to recognise the innovation new businesses bring to the business world. Without innovation, no one would even be sitting at the awards dinner!

“We are a local business based in the heart of Coventry’s professional district and as such we are proud to support other local businesses, whether it is through the services we offer such as bookkeeping, payroll or tax services, or by sponsoring awards such as these.”

Neil added that, as a forward thinking company, Askews is planning expansion and growth in the future to help other companies.

“With accountants and lawyers all under one roof, we are a one-stop shop for both businesses and individuals who require help and advice with a wide range of business matters, including independent tax and legal advice.”

Many businesses, both large and small and from a wide array of sectors, which are helping to boost the region’s economy have already entered CTBA 2017,

But there is still time for others to put their name forward as the closing date is not until Friday September 1.

The awards represent a fantastic opportunity to recognise the skill, passion and commitment it takes to operate a business in 2017.

And we will be proud to toast that success at a glamorous black tie event at the Ricoh Arena on November 16.

Fourteen awards will be presented to each winning firm, including Company of the Year, Service Award, Leadership Team of the Year and Excellence in Science and Technology.

Along with award presentations, the ceremony will see finalists and representatives from the business community welcomed with a Champagne reception followed by a threecourse meal.

Hosted by TV comedian, Mark Dolan and Olympian, Gail Emms MBE, the evening will also include entertainment from magician and illusionist Jamie Raven and charity fundraising for the NSPCC.
