SPANGLES’ Harry Potter 20th birthday celebrations sold out so quickly they are making it a Harry Potter month.

Tickets for the week-long celebrations from October 2 to 8 sold out in just one day.

The series of wizard tea parties inspired by the legendary book and film franchise will now be extended to run through the whole of October.

Spangles Tweeted this morn- ing to say: “We’ve had to make it Harry Potter month at @FargoVillage as it sold out on first day. New dates to be released tonight.”

The overwhelming demand means the parties will now be held right up until Halloween.

The eatery, situated at FarGo Village, is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone as well as the 10th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Harry Potter fans from across Coventry can head to the creative quarter to enjoy the event.

FarGo Village, an independent hub of retailers, is situated off Far Gosford Street.

“Being huge fans of the wizarding world, we’ve been inspired by the Harry Potter series,” organisers say.

“We’ve taken inspiration from both the books and films to create our wizard’s tea.

“Every guest will have their very own butterscotch beer, which is non alcoholic, and a selection of Harry Potter inspired treats on three tiers of afternoon tea complete with there own train ticket and placemat. The magical menu consists of a fantastic selection of wizardly savouries, scones and fancies, washed down with our (specially-brewed for the occasion) butterbeer.”

Prices for muggles aged 12 and over are £20, and first-year wizards and witches (aged 9-12) cost £12, while young wizards and witches (under-9s) cost £12.

“We expect this event to be hugely popular with budding wizards and muggles alike, so please book early to avoid disappointment,” organisers add.
