Difficulties around station approach

MY wife and I recently had cause to catch a bus from town to the railway station.

Imagine my surprise to find no pedestrian crossing from the end of the new pedestrian walk to access the station. Traffic comes around a blind bend from the right, in our case it was even more difficult because we were with an elderly relative with dementia.

Even after crossing the road we then had to run to the taxi rank. What on earth were the town planner thinking? T Donnelly Ernesford Grange
