Motoring Madness
Rushing here, rushing there People drive without a care 60 in a 30 zone Whilst they’re on a mobile phone.
‘Must be at the gym by eight!” For red lights, they cannot wait Waving fists and hooting horns Pedestrians the driver scorns.
‘Out of the way! No time to queue I’m more important than you’ Impatient, angry selfish folk Puffing out a cloud of smoke.
Screaming brakes at misguided bends Trying to impress their friends Souped up cars with spoiler’s low Tyres screech and exhausts blow.
Kicking out a load of fumes Music blaring, bass that booms Foot to floor, exhausts backfire Dodgy lights, a worn-out tyre.
Ignoring lanes and all road signs Threatening lives and risking fines Just slow down, enjoy the ride By the laws, please do abide. Kerry Davies Coventry
